hug the clouds
here the brides of cedar
feed from the breasts of the sun
here is the ascension of love and ecstasy
here the gods pour their aged wine
in the mouths of poets
Dismount O passer-by
take off your sandals
for you are in Baakleen*

هنا هامات الشوف
تعانق الغمام
هنا عرائس الأرز
ترضع من أثداء الشمس
هنا معراج العشق والنشوة
هنا تسكب الآلهة نبيذها المعتق
في أفواه الشعراء

*بعقلين مدينة لبنانية في محافظة جبل لبنان بقضاء الشوف. تبعد عن العاصمة بيروت حوالي 45 كيلومترا. وقد ألقيت هذه القصيدة في أمسية شعرية أقيمت في 21 كانون الثاني/يناير 2011 بدعوة من المكتبة الوطنية في بعقلين، حيث شاركتُ في الأمسية مع الشاعرة اللبنانية جاندارك الشاعر سُعيْد الملقبة بابنة الأرز.
