Luebo born on 11 November 1952, he studied literature, journalism, political science, philosophy and law, and has worked in journalism. He wrote his first collection of poems in just 15 years, and just 3 years after participating in the creation of the Union of Congolese Writers (Union des congolais écrivains). In 1977 it will be forced to leave their country for political reasons, traveling to several countries before settling in Luxembourg. Kamanda is one of Africa’s most representative authors, and as the author of poems, short stories and novels, has received numerous awards over the years, including recently, given its commitment to the cultural context of French literature, the prize “Maurice Cagnon-Certificate of Honour “, awarded by the International Council for Francophone Studies. The literary production of Kamanda, the subject of studies and translations in different countries and different languages, finds inspiration in African traditions, in particular, Egypt, the birthplace of his ancestors.
